Apple help chat told me this was why I was having constant connectivity issues. Is there a way around this?
Well, without any information on what the problem is, how can anyone help you? Do you not get any internet access at all? Some apps or websites not working? Is it a problem through WiFi and cellular? If you turn the VPN off, does it still give problems that only an uninstall fixes? Do you have the client installed on any other device? Did the problem only start after installing and running the VPN?
Um… I would make absolute certain that you’re actually talking to apple. That seems like a rather specific and malicious request to me.
No the problem I was having.
VPN OFF
WiFi enabled and connected at home, no internet access it just wasn’t working.
At home Disable the WiFi and I had 2 bars of 4g signal (normally more than fine) still no internet of any sort.
Re enabled my internet and then tried connecting to my wife’s personal hotspot (she’s connected to the WiFi and her phones working fine). Still nothing.
I then turned my wife’s WiFi off and she’s with a different provider (she had great signal) I’m connected to her hotspot. Still nothing.
In all instances with the above it should be working fine.
Giving up and not knowing what else to do I reset all network settings.
It starts working intermittently.10mins
Then stops
Get to work and try connecting via various means there, nothing works although it should.
The entire time my vpn is off and the app isn’t switched on.
Don’t worry most definitely was Apple. Via their website, days ago, they didn’t get any other personal info.
But it’s still strange, there was a link sent to me in that chat about vpns
