Not OpenVPN but something that may be helpful.
Tailscale released this 4 days ago. I installed it and it works great so far.
You can connect to other devices on your Tailnet and route the Apple TVs internet through an “exit node”.
If you want the Apple TV to have access to another networks LAN you could install Tailscale at that location and setup a subnet router. I wish there was a way to use the Apple TV as a subnet router but maybe it’ll be in the cards down the road.
