I’m close to signing up to them.
A question for those who have been with them for at least three months.
Are you glad you went with them?

Nord has been sufficient in bypassing site blocks for me, and i haven’t had any great issues from them thus far.
Been with them 3 years, no complaints. Smooth and effective.
yes i’d give them like 4 or 4.5 stars outta 5, best vpn i’ve used. if they fixed a few things they’d easily be a 5, adding dark mode to pc recently is a good step towards that.
Been using them for like 4 years at least, they are good. One of the few VPNs that have had independent audits (and by the respectable PwC) and you can see the documents on their site. Many VPNs claim a bunch of stuff (no logs, etc.) in their marketing, but don’t prove it. The company is very trustworthy. Speed has been good too, after I tweaked my network, I get close to native connection speed or sometimes better. Streaming was blocked for a while (not from Nord, but from the services) but it recently started working again. I’ve used Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube Movies, etc. but only in SD quality. Vudu still doesn’t work. And I get disconnects from time to time, but overall it’s a good service.
Been using them for years, no issue.
Three odd years now. No complains really., apart from the browser login.
I’ve used Nord for the last 5 years and I’ve had zero issues with them. Most issues I’ve seen others experience have either been from not understanding the limitations of a VPN and/or their own personal networking setup, fwiw.
Signed up again - been with them for 4 years. Works well for me.
I’m happy with them. I use the vpn on my laptop and my fire stick to watch UK catch up TV in Spain.
No issues for me to date
I haven’t had any glaring issues with them. I’ve heard allot of people having customer service problems. But I never have experienced it in the 4 years I’ve used it. Every once in a while I’ll get an app that won’t work properly with it on. But that’s why VPN
Well, I have ENcrypt.me (Slow but holds connection), Bitdefender VPN (slow but holds connection), Surfshark (ok speed and occasionally drops connection), WeVPN (slow and routinely drops), ProtonVPN (slow but stable connection), NordVPN (fastest and most reliable).
My experience only. Others have different experiences and have posted those which led to the reasons why I currently have so many, to see for myself. The above does not include the 14 eyes, 9 eyes, 5 eyes concerns and logging of info. Research for yourself. When I whittle down to 1 or 2, it will be NordVPN as choice 1. Not sure of choice 2.
Now, if I know what I know today and have experienced, I would only have NordVPN.
By the way, if any VPN is free, it is not really free. You and your data are the reason it is free, just like free email (see google or your ISP and find out what they do with your email and browsing data). Anything free to use on the web means that you are actually the product.
Ive been with them for quite a few months now
I have it on my OPENVPN Router and so all my traffic goes through there.
So far zero problems.
But looking from some of the other negative comments, I am definitely keeping my “Auto-renewal cancelled” email just in case.
Worked well for me on MacOS and IOS. Does what I need and blocks what I need. The only negative I’ve had in 4 years of use is some updates sign you out of the app. Which is incredibly annoying to set up profiles again etc. it’s not a huge issue just an irritant.
To be fair, according to MY experience, the only other provider that compares to Nord is Express. I’ve had both. What I have to say is that, although express is pretty damn good, their triple the price subs does not justify. Nord does the same for way cheaper.
They’ve been adding some interesting features lately like Meshnet. If they also succeed in their other services (i.e. pass), I might also switch password managers. But right now that’s far fetched (1PW user).
No complaints. Run through docker without problems. Recently got a dedicated IP for some stuff and it works fine as well. Speed is much better than it used to be.
I have been pretty happy with Nord. Cost is reasonable, and the speed is great. I am not that crazy about the apps gui, but it serves. I like the simplicity of Private Internet Access vpn, another good one with a huge number of available servers, but they were bought out by a company that has a bit of a questionable reputation, so I dumped them for Nord.
Honestly. No. As soon as I signed up for a long time after my last sub expired. The android app started playing up on both my tablet and phone - with connection drops or hiccups for 30 seconds to a minute per occurrence. It happens enough for me to have little confidence that my WhatsApp messages are being delivered for example.
Also on PC, split tunnelling just doesn’t work in the current version, I rolled it back to when split tunneling works and that’s great. But now on boot Nord doesn’t always start properly and seems to block any Internet connection despite not having kill switch enabled. So I have to kill via Task Manager and restart Nords service to get any Internet connection with or without VPN.
It’s been a bit of a pain in the arse tbh!
Used Nord for over a year on multiple platforms. Always fast and reliable.
Not really. Couldn’t watch MLB without new server defs And restarting everything multiple times. Netflix and Roku usually choked just as we were going to watch something to watch before sleep. Requiring restarts and going downstairs etc. I’ve just turned it off.
