Bitdefender VPN recent update issue

Since the latest Bitdefender VPN update, I’ve encountered persistent issues across all my devices—Windows, Android, Mac, and iPhone. Many servers appear to be either blacklisted by ISPs or malfunctioning, leading to frequent connectivity problems. Connecting to a server now takes anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute, a delay I never experienced before. Certain websites no longer function correctly, with some images failing to load and DuckDuckGo becoming inaccessible on specific servers. While overall speed hasn’t noticeably decreased, maintaining a stable connection has become increasingly difficult, particularly when switching to mobile data. Additionally, VPN access is now blocked on networks in schools and offices, which was never an issue before this update. Having relied on Bitdefender products for five years, this is the most frustrating experience I’ve had, as these problems are disrupting my daily device usage. If these issues remain unresolved, I’ll seriously reconsider my options when my renewal is due. I can only hope Bitdefender addresses these concerns in future updates.

PS: I’ve seen similar post “problems” with the recent update on forums and reviews for the latest update. I’m just sharing my experience here. Already contacted support and the gist of the response is “We are aware of this issue and we are working on a fixed.”

I am having the same issue. When I turn the VPN on I get incredibly slow loading, or timing out.

Bitdefender VPN has become god-awful slow for me recently.

Have been in discussions with them. VPN practically unusable for internet searches, mainly “Secure Connection Failed”. Received an update from them on the 31/1 which they say is for new users but I suspect is a Beta and I’m a guinea pig. Installed today, see how we go.

The latest update affected my PC in a different but still frustrating way. Although my VPN remains disconnected, my network appears as “Unidentified Network” and won’t connect to my private network, unless I power cycle the router AND modem - EVERY SINGLE TIME.

And, on top of that, the VPN won’t even connect. It just keeps circling.

Seriously, I’m at the stage where I think it’s time to uninstall Bitdefender altogether, explore alternative options and stop paying for this nonsense.

My experience is based on a few days back in the US (northeast). Been there since last month and I have no problem with the VPN connection. And then came the update early January, and it has been bad ever since.
