This is very, very not cool.
Its extra weird that both of the points are right next to each other in the south.
same reason Dreaming city only has one travel point. that is to say, there is no good reason
My right mouse button is dying
And LET.ME.LAND.IN.THE.HANGAR
Yeah weird there ain’t one, eh don’t care about too much i love all of europa so far
Milking that playtime early on.
VPN to Australia, then its north
Riis-Reborn is where most of the post-campaign content is. Having to get there from the charons crossing point every time is shit
Drives “meaningful player engagement”
We had a glitch where one of the charges for the quests didn’t spawn; had to orbit and drive ourselves all the way back up there to restart the quest. NOT ideal.
They’ve been doing minimal Drop Zones for a while now, compared to Y1.
Two fast travel points, in roughly opposite sides of the map, should be a bare minimum. It doesn’t need to be like EDZ or Nessus with a Drop Zone in every single area. Tangled Shore and Cosmodrome are decent examples, but Dreaming City is a pain in the ass. I honestly feel like we were lucky to get the northern travel point on the Moon.
It forces you to be on the planet longer and make you see all the parts. Otherwise, people would never see the 5 minute road trips it takes to get to action points… classic Bungie.
Same reason why the stranger, drifter and Eris decided to camp a kilometre away from the pyramid…same reason why all the tower vendors are spread out over an unnecessarily large tower…
So that you could waste your life driving places so they can brag “wow lol the average player plays such and such hours per play sessions our game must be amazing!!”
Well, I think it’s kinda chilly to be honest
No, you’re right. It’s not cool, it’s cold.
They also seem to like placing you right outside of where a mission ends just to tell you to visit Variks or go somewhere that has a fast travel. Probably hoping players would spend time going back and forth without realizing
Yeah this is annoying as hell. Literally the one place they didn’t need to have a fast travel point was down there. Or just fucking put all the vendors in the same spot. Why does Variks have to be stuck in that bunker?
Was about to post this. A destination as big as Europa NEEDS fast travel points; 3 or 4 being the minimum it should have.
Another thing waypoint related is the Cosmodrome. I’m not even talking about the amount but they missed the right entry point. That’s not where I transmat to in D1!
