It depends entirely on the VPN you’re using. For example, the 1.1.1.1 app offers Siri-suggested actions to change its settings. But others may not. There is no all-in-one VPN control shortcut that doesn’t involve opening the Settings app; only specific VPN apps may offer this capability, but many don’t.

I wish I knew the answer as well.

To those talking about vpn apps, I think the original poster is talking about the built in (that is enabled/disabled in settings).

Get browsec vpn, then go to shortcuts and look up an action called “start” then choose the vpn. You can make it into a widget as well so I have it on my Home Screen. There is also a stop browsec if you want both. Let me know if you have any issues. :slight_smile:

Uh umm so I guess I’ll have to wait for such shortcut which doesn’t require opening the settings or vpn app. :frowning:

I’ll try this, nordvpn app is a bit complicated as compared to other vpns

It depends if surfshark has similar shortcut actions that nord has, I had to mess around with the ones offered through the nord app to get the Two in one shortcut

Just looked at another thread from a year ago and it said they didn’t have support for shortcut actions so I think it’s a no go
