Can I Register An American Cell Phone In Colombia With A VPN?

Hi

My phone was stolen and now I’ve been locked out of my Verizon Account. It’s been a pain to say the least to access anything. The rep I’m talking to says that if someone I know has a spare phone in the States, I can register it. The thing is, I have a spare phone here. In Colombia. If I use a VPN, would I be able to activate this old phone?

They won’t be able to register unless you’re in range of their cell towers in the US… VPN unfortunately won’t be able to help because the cell network won’t be in range so it can’t connect, I tried the same but from Canada with T-Mobile, and the plan was also a US domestic prepaid without long distance so I had to physically go closer to the CA/US border before I got the SMS messages and only then was able to register the online account and complete the profile setup. Find someone to just put the SIM card in a spare phone while in the US and then mail it out to you once it’s registered to be safe so it doesn’t get shut down, or buy an activated prepaid SIM from eBay US. Good luck!

If your phone is built by Apple suggest visiting this site

If it’s google >!(Android)!< visit here

A paid TextNow account will let you register with a US number but the free account doesn’t receive the bank codes.

Ahhhh ok. Thank you very much
