Can isp see browsing history on android through router

Can the isp of the wifi subscription in my apartment see the browsing history of my android phone when using ddg? The phone is set to wifi and also roaming, and there are different internet subscriptions on the android and the wifi router. Just wondering if the subscriber of the wifi could get a record of my browsing from their isp… (custody battle)

the ISP potentially has logs. DNS logs would show every DNS query your device made so they would know what sites that device visited. if you are using a VPN and do not have any DNS leaks then they only know that you are connected to whatever your VPN provider is.

hope this is helpful.

Everyone involved in the transfer can see who you’re talking with (e.g. “duckduckgo.com”, " reddit.com"). Encryption should hide the rest.

If you want to hide even more information you’ll need to either use a VPN (and trust the VPN company because now they can see who you’re sending data to) or the Tor browser.

Thank you for the answers, they have been very helpful. I guess the isp won’t hand over my browsing history in a court case since there is no evidence of illegal behavior… but maybe I will just give them a call and see what they say.

Depending of how illegal it is.

Cp and preparations of murder/kidnapping/r…/mass drug traficing would definitely be handed over, IF you are the target of investigation.

To stay incognito, use a vpn with encryption. If you really wanna be safe, combine it with tor-browser and a new VM for each session.
