Cant connect to ssl vpn using sonic wall mobile connect (android) on NSA 5600

It denies the connection. Global VPN works fine, however. Is there some handshake the mobile client is missing, or maybe the sonic wall itself is too old to accept the mobile connect settings? any help with configuration to the NSA 5600 to allow sonic wall mobile connect to work on this ssl vpn would be greatly appreciated!

You need to check If the SSL VPN is enabled on WAN interface … SSLVPN > Server Configuration > WAN must be Green

Check the ports number on this screen tooo…

If everything right It could be a firewall acess rule so you may want to check the WAN to WAN rules

Yes it’s definitely enabled and configured.

Does SSLVPN work on any other client(s)? If not, Is SSLVPN even enabled?

There’s no Global VPN for Android that I’m aware of, which is why I ask.

SSL VPN and Global VPN functions are mutually exclusive… having one enabled/working does not mean the other is. I would verify like others have already suggested, verify the SSL VPN services are enabled and the port they are listening on, verify the services are enabled on the WAN interface, and verify the users/groups authenticating are in the SSL VPN users group and allowed to log in via that method.

I had a problem where Android wouldn’t connect when Windows, Mac and iOS were fine. SonicWall investigated and sent special builds of Mobile Connect. I don’t remember if it ever was resolved as it wasn’t essential.

the sslvpn is active (green) using port 4433. ive already put in https://publicip:4433/ and its still not connecting using sonic wall mobile. what should i be checking in wan to wan rules?

Is SSL-VPN using a special port like 4433? Also when using mobile connect on a Windows computer you have to specify https:// before the public IP of the Sonicwall.

I dont think so. we only have the sslvpn enabled. we also use MFA through ms sso.

The services is running. How do I check port?

In Access Rules go on WAN to WAN and check the rule with service SSLVPN

This rule can block WAN access to SSLVPN services, check if there is some rule.

ive tried this. no response from the firewall on sonic wall mobile. where do i check in the logs for error?

GVC won’t connect if only SSLVPN is enabled…

Are you being prompted for 2fa?

You say that SSLVPN doesn’t work for anyone else, are you 100% sure it’s enabled (with a valid certificate!), and your MS SSO connected?

It’s on the SSL VPN configuration page

on global vpn 2fa works. every thing works. on adroid the vpn dosent even respond using sonical wall mobile vpn. if you can tell me where to look i can check. i dont directly manage the vpn.

Manage at the top of the page

SSLVPN on the left column of that page
