You absolutely can. Delta is probably the most egregious. You need to keep in mind that changing your IP to another geographical location does nothing if the browser is storing cookies (which it is), or if you are logged in app/website.
You need to use a Incognito Mode to browse anonymously and you need to close your browser and open a new Incognito session each time you change your IP Location (VPN server) if you want to see any changes in price.
I like using VPN servers in Latin America.

This never works. I’ve tried it more times than I can count and in 0% of cases was the flight cheaper when I set the VPN to different countries. It was usually the same exact price, but sometimes more expensive. The best price has always been using USA as the country. However, I’ve only been looking for Business Class seats, so maybe that matters. It does work for Hertz rental cars tho.
I’ve never even heard of this method before (but it seems to me that there will be very small savings on the difference in exchange rates) - it’s better to use trusted sites such as Citizen Seven or Kayak, which have really good offers
United is also kinda bad. For example, when booking a ticket to Japan using a VPN with a Japan location, it requires you to enter a Japanese address to book the ticket.
I’ve never heard of this, do you have specific examples of success?
