If you’re downloading with BitTorrent aren’t you automatically uploading too? In any case, I’ve been using surf shark for a while with no problems, downloading and seeding, so long as you bind your torrent client to your vpn network interface you’re good.

My ISP sent me a copyright violation email a few months back. I don’t know if it was Surfshark or my torrent settings but either way I’ve been a lot more careful.

i’ve never gotten in trouble downloading with nothing… it’s seeding that has gotten me a letter from ISP because my vpn was turned off.

They don’t care about downloading really. The odds of you getting a notice are low. If you seed without a VPN though… expect letters.

Got 2 letters from provider when I first signed up for SS. Been using Nord for 5 years (never got one letter). Been using qbit for years. I had massive leaks too in Windows 10. That took forever to fix . I changed settings with qbit with SS. If you use qbit. Go to tools , down to options, go to network interface, find surfshark and you’re all set. If SS dumps it will stop downloading. This VpN has not been safe. On my Androids it says I’m connected when I’m not. The Killswitch is glitchy still. It has told me my subscription is over and will not let me on. Have to delete it and reinstall. Done this about a dozen times.

If I download I don’t seed anymore because I don’t have time to continually check the connection. I got a year left and they need to get better or I’m gone.

I don’t use torrent, i only stream tv shows on websites and download books from z lib

Have you bound the connection interface to surfshark ethernet adapter? Otherwise torrent automatically uses all possible connections, even the ones not going through the VPN to search for seeds and peers
