Do I need to keep Kaspersky security cloud free or uninstall it and install Kaspersky free?
So technically in terms of modules, they’re identical. They have different names and UI but that’s generally it. I believe that Kaspersky Free is just without the password manager and vpn trials if you go that route.
It deletes the old one after installation. Just bought a subscription after using free.
There’s a comparison chart here:
and for some reason “Existing Virus Removal” isn’t included.
Been using Security Cloud and loved the interface. Guess I’ll have to adapt a bit to a new one. Will be waiting for sometime before I install the newer version.
If you click on the subscription status “Active” you will find that the security cloud subscription will end automatically by 30-Nov-23.
The new version better lot of bloatware removed, much cleaner like ESET
They removed the vpn because it was useless for the 200Mb data limit even in paid plans like KIS, KTS. Removed the bloat in free version but now made it unlimited in the premium plans.
what it really means can you explain it a bit more?
Does that mean your PC was infected before installing Kaspersky Free, it won’t detect and remove that malware.
Personally I uninstalled both the PW manager and the VPN bc I have separate tools for both that I use. I appreciate they separated it so it’s able to be uninstalled without losing the main software.
I’m guessing it just means that after installing premium it’ll automatically run a complete scan, and in the free one it won’t scan automatically but you can always start the scan by yourself.
It’s like you get the car in both, but you also get a chauffeur to drive the car for you in premium.
haha, nice one. understood.
