I’m mostly looking to use as VPN for downloading, although geo blocking is handy too.
Does this VPN work well in Canada?
Is there a way to pay in Canadian dollars instead of Euros? The exchange rate isn’t too friendly. And not just by sending them cash over postage mail.
Thank you.
Monero might be worth considering as payment, if you have a good exchange in Canada.

Does for me.

I pay in monero since I think it defeats the purpose of the level of anonymity that Mullvad gives me by then paying them from my credit or debit card.
Whats the best connection to use for a Canada resident. Seems like the only one that works is Switzerland. I can’t connect to any other. I’m using it for streaming sports and TV.
Ive been using it for a month and its worked wonders compared to Nord and Express. Its actually let me use IDM to download videos and files while the vpn is active.
working well for me in canada. speeds are great. geoblocking? you mean lime streaming? if so, mullvad doesnt support streaming. it may work but not supported
really good in Canada. I am one of those guys that gets obsessed about things, I notice Mullvad, Nord and PIA are all very similar for speeds. You must pay in euros and i think its around 7.50 every month. If you are only using it for torrenting PIA works just as good as mullvad for me for that purpose. Mullvad has a few 10 gbs servers but mostly 1 and 2 gbs servers in Canada where as nord and pia have all 10 gbs and a lot more of them, that being said I really didnt notice any speed loss on mullvad, a great service but almost double if you are willing to do a year or two of pia. Cant go wrong with mullvad though.
Works well for me. I don’t use it for anything high speed, and mostly just to keep my ISP from seeing everywhere I go online. Yes, I trust a foreign VPN provider more than I do my home country ISP, or maybe more accurately, distrust it less.
Edit: I’m in southern Ontario and have no problems with reliability whether using servers in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver, and speed has never been a problem with how I use it.
I have next to no knowledge when it comes to crypto unfortunately. But using it to pay makes sense.
Yes? To which question? I asked more than one.
I just ended a three year subscription with Nord. They were really good for me in the beginning and for most of my subscription but really tell apart during the last year. I’m looking for a VPN to replace them now.
Are you based in Canada as well? What do you use Mullvad for?
Yes, I was referring to live streaming when I said geo blocking.
Crypto is pretty easy to pick up.
I created a monero wallet and a coinberry account, transfer money it from my bank account. Buy coinbase on there. then I go to a swapper listed on Merchants & Exchanges | Monero - secure, private, untraceable and create a swap that will allow me to put in bitcoin and get out XMR, I set the destination address of the swap to my monero wallet and the swap provides me with an address to send my bitcoin to. I take that address and transfer to it from my coinberry account. takes about an hour to 2 hours for the money to go from coinbery → swap → my monero wallet.

Lists a bunch of gibberish that someone with zero knowledge of crypto will understand
LOL I appreciate the effort on this old reply here, but my you lost me by line one or two.
