The Indian government makes VPN companies store their logs which is why Nord announced that it was backing out of India a few years ago. However i recently noticed that Nord has an Indian server again. Does this mean they’ve decided to comply with the Indian government?
It’s not a physical server in India, meaning that the server is located in a different country.
Indias location is a virtual server location outside of india , so it doesnt matter.
also many audits show no logs.
I’m going to India shortly, will I be able to use Nord to pretend I’m ‘elsewhere’

That. And they still perform audits on logging and security. They’d be in big trouble if it came out that they’re advertising as a safe and logless VPN, and then willingly decided to open up servers in countries they couldn’t possibly keep their promise in.
The point is the server isn’t in India, it’s just somewhere close to give them the best connection.
