Does subscribed Spectrum TV, P+, D+, etc. work outside of USA?

Let’s say I travel outside of USA. Can I still use https://watch.spectrum.net, Apple’s video apps, Roku app, D+, P+, etc. to watch live and VoDs remotely online? Or are they region blocked? I did notice Spectrum’s iOS apps didn’t like VPN (AdGuard Pro) even at home on my cable. :frowning:

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon.

Spectrum login only works in the United States

You can’t use a VPN they have detection software. It’s a nightmare.

Hi, lets say for educational purposes only  and ignoring TOS, I can confirm that Spectrum TV is region locked to the USA and I can confirm that it is possible to use devices abroad away from home. The catch is that you must setup a travel router to connect back home which makes you look like you are at home. Depending on your home or VPS upload speeds, you can split tunnel the cdn IP addresses so that the video streams don’t have to go through the VPN connection and pull directly from the internet.

Good luck if you need to manage your spectrum router and travel internationally. Although, not allowing Chinese hackers into my Chinese router seems like a good idea

Dang, not even for accounts for billing, remote access, etc.? Wow.

If you VPN back to your home connection, it works

Yup you can’t log into spectrum.net or my spectrum app or spectrum tv app outside of the United States.

But its iOS apps still detect VPN in my iPhone. :frowning:

Ugh. Can you even call Spectrum outside of USA?

I’ve had success away from home connecting back home via VPN but not using the app on an iPhone. In that case, I’ve deleted the app and went to watch.spectrum.net. The browser is not able to detect if a VPN connection is active and allows me to view all channels like if I was at home. The switching of channels is more involved as you have to first pause the default playing channel then click on the left side of the screen to view the available channels and select a different one.
