to clear things up, i’m not talking about purchasing a vpn. obviously using a vpn will cost more money because well… vpn costs money.
This is probably a pretty trivial question to ask but i’m completely clueless about whether the usage of a vpn on pc causes you to pay more for ur internet provider.
for example, on mobile, if u don’t have an unlimited plan, once you’ve reached the maximum data usage you’re usually either unable to use more data, or payment is automatically deducted from u in order to extend the plan for the month.
but does it go the same for WiFi connection or a PC connected through an Ethernet cable?
The thing is, i bought a vpn for the first time yesterday, and i’d like it to be turned on pretty much always unless i absolutely have to turn it off for whatever reason. but i’m scared that using a VPN 24/7 will cause my monthly bill to sky rocket due to increase in data usage.
to be clear, i’m using a vpn just for my pc, which is connected to the internet through an ethernet cable.
