DuckDuckGo browser on Windows

Hi all,
I am normally a Brave browser user and wanted to switch over to DDG instead. I use two platforms, Android and Windows. I just wanted to relay my experience here as a basic user in case someone can help or someone at DDG reads this.

  • On Android I have switched over and uninstalled Brave
  • On Windows however I cannot see a way of making Bitwarden (BW) integration work for password management. I can only see the DDG built-in password manager. Now this is a deal breaker for me, I only trust BW for password management and nothing else. The DDG documentation only mentions IOS support for BW. I would be forced to run the BW desktop application, copy passwords/TOTP codes over etc, which is impractical.

The only other thing Brave has is an extension for my VPN provider, however I don’t need it, I just run the VPN application. The only thing i need is BW support. Thank you !

Integration with Bitwarden is standard on the mac version, so surely it will also be added to the Windows DDG. DuckDuckGo are my main browsers on Windows and Android too. It works without a fuss, and I love the minimal interface.
