Even when I use VPN F1TV app shows me as being in the U.K

Last week I renewed my F1TV Pro subscription and had my country of residence as the Netherlands which always worked for me. I bought a monthly subscription via the in app purchase option and was able to watch archive videos. However, today when I logged in it’s showing me as being in the U.K despite the VPN being activated etc. Any ideas as to how I can get around this?!

Using VPNs carries a risk of your F1TV account being suspended. Please take this into consideration.

Connect to different servers until you find one that works.

Clear your browser cache and do not open it until the VPN is connected.

using Netherlands stopped working for me so I switched to Belgium

You might need to try different VPN provider. They blocked bunch of biggest ones 2 years ago and not every provider works with hiding location from F1.tv.

For android at least I find that if the app’s been up at all while it’s in the UK, it can get stuck there. Make sure to kill the app entirely before engaging the VPN and try again. FWIW I’m on NordVPN and check on Friday and it was working fine.

There’s a permanent solution. Buy a cheap vps and run your own vpn server

I’ve changed my country of residence from Netherlands to U.S and it works now.

Try using multi viewer with your VPN.
I’ve had success using that when in browser wouldn’t work.

Try Poland. Worked for me last year on F1 TV through NordVPN. I’m also in the UK. That said I haven’t tried this year.

NordVPN doesn’t work anymore this year.

Oh boo :frowning: are there any alternatives?

NordVPN worked for me today
