Excuse me good sirs and/ or ma’am’s, but I don’t use a VPN…has anybody else had this happen?
That’s weird, I use to have a VPN until it expired, but never got that message.
There’s a particular get paid app the functions with a VPN that causes that. I think you do surveys or something. Basically, it’s very shady. It spoofs your location without your knowledge so you “qualify” for surveys that are looking for respondents in particular areas, so that they get paid and give you a sliver of the income. You have no choice in the VPN, and it wonks out other location based apps, like Atlas Earth and pokemon go who take cheating seriously. That app is basically forcing you to cheat, whether you know it or not, and in most cases - not.

I think it’s more if an issue that they don’t allow a VPN.
I got the same thing I narrowed it down to the a survey app…that ae had a ad for a bit ago.,
They might not have been able to detect the VPN if it wasn’t modifying or masking things like location data. That and/or it wasn’t a well known VPN used by cheaters and scammers (like NordVPN which actually advertises itself, or at least used to, as a way to circumvent location limitations on streaming services and other online content)
I don’t have any apps like that that I know of… I mean I got a few games but no survey apps. If anybody can find the name of this app please help me out so I can double check. I really don’t think this is my issue, but I really don’t wanna be banned for something I didn’t do so better to double check anything it could be.

I told them about this and told them that I’m not sure if they could but it might be good idea to screen ads. I would be infuriated if I got banned because I downloaded and used and app AE had ads for and it somehow violated TOS.
It was NordVPN 
maybe I just never actually had it on when playing. I just find it weird that I wouldn’t have had it on the 3 or 4 months I’ve been playing.
Did you contact support? Maybe they can help you identify what is starting VPN on your phone. We all will benefit from this finding. Please share if you find out.
Apparently not. Please enlighten me with your ultimate wisdom. Some of us understand the value of a VPN. Apparently, others do not.
I did. They said to check my location settings and make sure they are set to precise and not approximate because that can somehow trigger that I am using VPN?? Which I don’t completely understand but regardless my location settings were on precise so I’m good there. Waiting on them to reply again.

The whole way you worded your comment doesn’t even make sense so I don’t know why you are being a smart ass for no reason. I am guessing you meant to say of and not if. But either way that doesn’t matter. It’s obvious why they don’t allow a VPN on this game and there are a lot of games don’t allow VPN use. I just don’t understand why you are writing this on my post asking an entirely different question. Do you not see the disconnect here?
