I have Proton VPN (free) and Atlas VPN android app on ChromeOS (also free). I know that free Atlas VPN allows 5 gb per onth, but I’m just wondering if I could use Proton VPN when casually browsing, and Atlas just for torrenting? Is it okay to torrent with free Atlas?
Is it good for piracy as well?

Proton free is fine as its the paying users that subsidize the fee tier (as stated by Proton themselves). Any other free VPN would be suspect.
Yeah, together with Windscribe they are the only two free VPNs people sould be using. But ProtonVPN free tier don’t support P2P, so no torrenting, and Windscribe only gives 10GB monthly quota for new accounts, so if you are not using it for really small files, it will barely be usable for anything than browsing the web.
So like the original comment said, don’t use free vpns for torrenting.

True always use a paid plan but it also needs to be from a reputable provider. I was just pointing out that Proton free although not allowing torrents is still reputable.
