Any suggestion on a free VPN for Firefox that is not secret malware? Or at least free trial, I need it.
ProtonVPN is great and they have a free tier.
And even better, the free is subsidized by the paid. So they have no incentive to take your data.
But that isn’t available yet. Right?
They might when all the folks with an “incentive” to pay ceases to provide the necessary revenue. 
They’d go out of business in a heartbeat if that happened. The word would get out and that’s it.
Even then, the moment they try something all of their services are finished.
Their reputation for being secure and privacy-respecting would die out in an instant and no one would use their products anymore.
But please, let’s not talk about what-ifs. It’s a complete waste of time and effort. Currently, there are more paid users than ever before, and I only see the paid userbase climbing.
What are they called? I searched for “Firefox Private Network” in both addons.mozilla.org and the Windows Store, and found nothing in either.
Is Mozilla actually running this? Or are they using a 3rd party that they trust?

They partnered with Mullvad VPN (https://mullvad.net) which has good reputation.
