Free VPN Chrome extension that works in Myanmar?

Hi my colleagues are asking if any work. All the ones they use have crapped out, apparently. Any suggestions?

I’d suggest SoftEther VPN + VPN Gate addon. Its free, works fine, has multiple servers and is fairly fast. Also safe and not profit motivated as it is made by the University of Tsukbaka in Japan, specifically for situations like ours in Burma.

Download and use proton, its free

Thanks, I’ve shared this with them

Yes I suggest that but they take logs of everything you browse and these logs are asscessible to authority and so you should have a backup VPN for specific cases.

Same, I use that as well

For softether the logs are localized and more for diagnostic purposes. They can be disabled: https://www.softether.org/4-docs/1-manual/3._SoftEther_VPN_Server_Manual/3.A_Logging_Service

As for logs being taken by the Burmese junta, they do not have the expertise nor manpower to actively monitor them. Their modus operandi is to keep these logs for all users so they can use it to prosecute them once they are arrested.
