Global Protect VPN pricing

Hi All,
I would like to know about the Global Protect license pricing. I checked the website but i couldn’t find the information that i needed.
And how can i get hold of the agent to assist me ASAP via email or call or can i get a brochure. Because i would like to use Global
Protect in my Organization.

If you want to use GlobalProtect to provide a secure remote access or virtual private network (VPN) solution via single or multiple internal/external gateways, you do not need any GlobalProtect licenses. However, to use some of the more advanced features (such as HIP checks and associated content updates, support for the GlobalProtect mobile app, or IPv6 support) you must purchase an annual GlobalProtect subscription.

For what it’s worth we just acquired GlobalProtect with our new PAs and we paid about $5k per firewall. We are on an EA for a larger organization so take that price with a grain of salt.

Edit: that was for 3yr subscription

Are you referring to GlobalProtect or Prisma Access? If GlobalProtect (& you already own a Palo Alto Networks firewall/PA-VM), then no additional licensing is required (unless you’re looking to enable advanced features such as HIP checks and associated content updates, support for the GlobalProtect mobile app, or IPv6 support), i.e.: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/globalprotect/10-0/globalprotect-admin/globalprotect-overview/about-globalprotect-licenses.html

Here’s a KB you can reference with details on basic configuration: https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000ClFbCAK

Assuming you’re looking for enabling of advanced features or going the Prisma Access (cloud hosted) route, then these #'s won’t be published on the site. You’d need to contact your SE or local sales branch (select the location via the “Looking for a Local office?” option)…

Thank you for the responses…
Am still confused :anxious_face_with_sweat::anxious_face_with_sweat:I don’t know much about IT.
I haven’t used the GlobalProtect VPN before. Here’s my story :
I am running an NPO which provides free tutoring to learners from under resourced communities in SA. So i tutor the learners online, now data is a problem since most of these learners’ parents have no formal education. So I saw some few Universities here using the GlobalProtect App which allowed their students to have access to the internet without being on the campus premises. Am not sure how it really works but i know that students do not incur any data costs when they are using the Global Protect VPN.
So am looking for this feature.
I would to know the subscription fee & other additional stuff that is needed to use this service.

I would say start from the beginning and try to verify if and how GlobalProtect VPN prevents data costs and if that would still apply in your situation. That statement does not seem correct and may change your course of action/needs.

In general, GlobalProtect takes many man hours of advanced IT knowledge to get working correctly. Therefore it does not seem like a good fit, unless you have resources for Palo Alto firewall configuration (either someone with that knowledge or grant money for contracted professional services).

That’s correct & mentioned something similar in my response. OP hasn’t yet responded to a use case, though hoping everyone’s feedback was still useful to them.

Ok thank you very much i will try to find out how it works …perhaps it works with the Institutions zero rated sites…
But eish these institutions they’re greedy when it comes to sharing info.:rofl:

I was hoping that i could get the costs including for the contracted professional service & then submit it to the NPO’s donors.

Do you perhaps know any service providers which Palo Alto networks works with in South Africa because i don’t think these Institutions contact Palo Alto directly…
