This little **** has been annoying me the past week. Somehow in an update it has managed to install itself without my permission.
Search for and open BitDefenderUninstaller in your Applications folder
Tick Bitdefender THEN tick “Uninstall VPN only”
Continue (it’ll ask you to enter your password)
Done
It keeps coming back after removal. How do you make it stay gone?
I have figured out a way to uninstall VPN only.
Goto Applications → Bitdefender and click on bitdefender unistaller
During uninstall select ‘Uninstall only VPN’
thanks brother, this bit** vpn was a pain in the ass
unfortunately it comes back every time after update
it is really frustrating (
Bitdefender folks, you are being agresive promoting your VPN product! If I was considering your VPN before, now I’m pissed off and will never use it.
Thank god - finally a solution to remove this annoying thing. Thx!

This post is pure joy.
Thank you, it was taking up an entire core of my CPU, all the time.
Hello Human! Please could you elaborate? Does it come back after every update or every time you follow my steps?
I too had the problem of BitDefender VPN getting installed every time after any update to the Antivirus. Deleting also BitDefender Agent seemed to finally do the trick and VPN from getting installed automatically. Annoying
It comes back after every update.

It’s almost enough for me to stop using Bitdefender. I’m fed up with its offer of assistance with an inferior VPN, at least in my opinion. It’s a hassle.

This is an image indicating how I uninstall the VPN if you haven’t already found the documentation.
It wasn’t easy to find.
Yeah sadly it’s the same for me. That’s a deliberate decision BitDefender has chosen to make.
