Ok I have a backwards issue where I have to use a VPN for Netflix to work. If I disconnect my VPN (Google VPN) Netflix thinks I’m using a VPN and gives error code. Once I reconnect it works fine. If I switch of WiFi it then works with it without VPN. Any ideas? I’m in the UK with a UK account and the Google VPN doesn’t/Can’t change your country location.
Seems like your router has some kind of DNS set up that Netflix doesn’t like, or it has a VPN of some sort set up on the router maybe?
I set up NordVPN on the router and just have the TVs on it.
You can try this Shared premium subscriptions with lower price on GamsGo! | Netflix | YouTube Premium - GamsGo
You can maybe try Proton VPN
I already have a VPN that works. I’m just saying that I can’t use Netflix if I don’t have my VPN connected even though it’s a UK account and I’m in the UK
It sounds like an issue with your ip address.
First, try clearing cookies/cache of Netflix in browser or app, depending on what you’re using and then try again.
If that doesn’t work, try turning off your router for a few mins. Then turn it back on and try again. If it still doesn’t work, you might have to google around or ask your isp how you can get assigned a different ip address.
If you’re using an ad-blocker or ad-blocking DNS, you can also try temporarily disabling that to see if it works, but I doubt that would be it.
