Hello, if i use a virtual machine with kali linux in it so so I can enter to the dark net, is it going to be safe?

Don’t use kali linux. Setup a whonix virtual machine.

Tails is simply the best

Too many buzzwords, fucking kali linux strikes again. You don’t know what you’re doing, whatever setup you have isn’t going to matter because of this fact.

Read.

Yeah, that was the first recommendation I got as well, to not use Kali. So, I setup an Ubuntu machine for that, separate from the rest of my stuff

why would you go through all that work if Whonix exists. Just use Whonix stop trying to be different

I use proxychains and tor on kali for the DW

it’s never safe unless you understand what you’re doing

why do you think you need a virtual machine and/or kali linux? what do you mean by “safe”, what are you trying to protect yourself from?

because it’s designed to be thrown away and containerized. Kali linux isn’t hardened either.

You’ll likely throw anyway the kali linux VM anyway so just be a man and do it right. Or better yet just use tails.

You shouldn’t use Kali Linux because it is bloated.

Bloated software leads to security issues, because there are more openings.

Nothing in Kali Linux is exclusive to Kali Linux, so you can just reinstall it on a better distro.

You also don’t have to dispose of Whonix, if you don’t want to: it’s a very flexible operating system.

Plus, if you download malware on Whonix, it can’t leak your IP.

This is not true. Tor Browser executes JavaScript by default, with some hardening.

Same for tails or whonix is better preventing leaks of IP?

Also, in Whonix, it’s safe(ish) to run JavaScript in Tor due to hardening.

Never run JavaScript on a Tor hidden service, no exceptions.

Tails is designed to be run off a USB. Whonix is designed to be run inside a VM. Whonix doesn’t get direct access to your hardware, so it’s technically safer.

I believe you can also run Whonix on Tails using HiddenVM. I’ve never done it myself, but I think you can use both of them in conjunction with each other.
