For example: what my internet provider sees when I’m using it (does it actually encrypts my data or all what it does is change my virtual location)? I’m talking about mobile version of Opera.
Thanks for answering!
I have NordVPN. I turned that off to test Opera’s VPN. Nord has faster page loads. But Opera’s wasn’t awful; just noticeably slower.
It’s very slow (it’s kinda like going back to the 90’s) so you can’t use it for anything else than browsing text and images (heavy image could take very long time depending on your location). Also they don’t even hide the fact they sell your data anonymized.
I’m not sure if it do more than a Proxy service.
The “vpn” is actually more like a proxy than a vpn.
It routes all your traffic but doesnt provide things like dns leak protection, as far as I know.
If your worries about getting around blocked websites at your school/work/other, Opera solves that just fine.
Does it mask your ip? Say, if you were to stream a live event online but not in such a legal way, would it be able to track that and furthermore, put you at any piracy law risk?
