I used Qoo to get Japanese Priconne and I created a Japanese play store account using tunnel bear but anytime I try to purchase something on priconne it tells me that it’s unavailable in my country.
I even bought a Japanese Google play card from playasia which it won’t let me put into my account.
I’m not sure what to do or if I’m doomed to playing f2p in a game for the first time ever which like I love this game enough to do that.
Why Google make it impossible for me to give them money and am I doing something wrong/ is there a way to make purchases in Japan even if I have to restart again I will.
Japanese play store account works enough for me
What I did:
- Removed all payment methods from my Play Store Account.
- Connected to a Japanese VPN.
- Readd payment methods (credit card).
- Close VPN.
- At this point, I can already download from Play Store and in app purchases work.
Weird, it shouldn’t say it’s unavailable, if you logged in with your Japanese Google Play account.
Is your main Google Play account still the Japanese one?
If you have any other Google play accounts logged in on your phone, remove them from your phone, except for the Japanese one, then it should make your Japanese Google Play account your default one.
If that doesn’t work, then try uninstall the PriConne game, then log in to your Japanese Google Play account, use VPN, then go to Google Play store and download PriConne through the Japanese Play store.
Remember to make a transfer code and note it down if you do this approach.
I personally haven’t tried this, but I heard you only need PayPal to pay through DMM, which is a Japanese platform on PC, where you can download and play PriConne on PC.
You need Japanese playstore account and credit/debit card (usually visa, i have mastercard debit and it is failed on verification) to purchase from jp. Some people say you can use paypal instead of credit/debit card but I can’t test that cause I don’t have paypal account. I think you can’t even redeem gift card if you are not living in jp. It’s because google put georestriction on gift card from last year.

Ah, I see. That makes sense with them using up your paypal balance.
And yeah, I think bought jewels are not shared between all platforms (Google, Apple, DMM)
