How to setup Airvpn port forwarding for torrenting?

Just got a subscription to airvpn but I am completely unaware as to how to set it up for torrenting. Can anybody please offer a guide to do the same? Thank you.

Go to AirVPN - generate a port, copy the 5-digit number and paste into qBittorrent settings (connection section). It doesn’t expire, it’s valid for TCP/UDP and IPv4/IPv6, and every server. So don’t need to think about it again.

Thanks! Is the process same for Android as well?

Hey, thanks for your comment. I’ve followed the steps, but it seems way to simple. Is there any way to make sure it’s done right, and works as intended? Thank you, daiqo.

What are you trying to use in Android that needs an open port?

By the way, I don’t have any VPN software installed, and I only got that port from their website. Also, should I uncheck “Use UPnP / NAT - PMP port forwarding from my router”?

You can torrent on android.

Yes, that’s why I’m asking. It depends on which app you are using.

flud

Yup, works the same way as qBittorrent.

Creste a new forwarded port in AirVPN.

In Flud go to Settings > Network. Uncheck Use random port. Put your new AirVPN port in the Use a port number setting.

Also, Happy Cake Day.

Thank you for all the support and cake day wishes!

One last question: would i need to do anything else to make sure my ISP doesn’t know that I’m torrenting? I’m a noob on these matters so any help is appreciated!

A VPN encrypts your data. Your ISP can tell that you’re downloading data but not what you are downloading.

In general your ISP doesn’t care that you’re torrenting. Torrent transfer is not an illegal activity.

DMCA notices come from your ISP because they are obligated to forward the notification. They are not watching your activity.

Bind qBittorrent to your VPN. This stops all torrent traffic if your VPN drops it’s connection or you forgot to connect. It’s more reliable than a Kill Switch.

In qBittorrent, go to Settings > Advanced > Network interface and select your VPN interface.

If you don’t know which is your VPN, disconnect it and see which interface disappears.

You can’t do that in Flud.

sry for asking, but im still a little unsure about that cause of a childhood exp, is connecting an airvpn port really enough to safe torrent today and in europe? without installing anything else except bittorrent ofc

Not bittorrent, qBittorrent.

If you bind qBittorrent to your VPN Interface correctly you won’t have any problems.

Binding will not allow torrent traffic unless your VPN is connected.

so binding the interface and using the port from your vpn is enough to safly torrent?

You’re asking the same question so the answer is still the same.

Yea i know im sorry ITS Just ibcsnt geht csught by this so want be 100% safe

If you have specific questions, when you’re setting it up, let me know.

Proof read before you post.
