How to use dedicated IP with .opnv file for connecting via a Unifi router

I recently got NordVPN service, and purchased the dedicated IP option so that I could generate an .opvn file to use on a Unifi router. I’ve scoured the documentation (including the .ovpn file format) and I don’t see anything on how to do this.

The server selection page shows a “server not found” error whenever I try to select dedicated IP as the connection type. Otherwise, it just picks a random server in the US (where I live) thus completely defeating the entire purpose of having a dedicated IP.

Any ideas on how to configure this?

Ok I think I understand what you all are saying, sorry about that. I have a dedicated IP address, a server #, but no server name. I downloaded the archive of config files and found my server number (us.nordvpn..com but the IP address in the config file is not my dedicated IP address. I don’t know anything except what Nord has given me about my dedicated IP which is the IP address, and the server#, but no server name, no config file, nothing.

This is a pretty sloppy user experience.

log in to nordvpn account via browser > click nordvpn on left > click “see details” under “dedicated ip”

here you will find a link to dl the config file you need.

here is an image. this sub seems to be weird with images, so hopefully this works. if not, dm me and i’ll send it

I’m jumping in here since you are talking about Unifi gear, but I don’t have 100 karma to ask my own questions.

Does anyone know how to find out which subnet each server uses? I’m trying to set up multiple connections and use region routing, but I keep getting subnet conflict errors.

You can find all the servers and their files here:
https://nordvpn.com/ovpn/ (You’d use the server number that fits yours and the actual subIP will be assigned to you automatically according to your account.)

The setup varies from router to router, but it has to support OpenVPN client to use it on the router itself. The guides are here:
https://support.nord-help.net/hc/en-us/articles/19426084718865-Setting-up-a-router-with-NordVPN

You can download the config files from the Nord VPN website. The link below will take you to a list of servers. Look for yours and download it.
