I’m new to this game and trying to learn the basic of LoL from my Japanese friends. Unfortunately, Japanese servers do not accept the access from foreign countries. My first language is Japaenese so I can communicate with my teammates without any issues and the ping between my home and Japan server for other game is about 100ms so I think ping would not be a problem as well.
I have no knowledge about technology things like VPNs. So I wanna ask for the ways to play on Jp servers.

Yes they do? I’ve played on Japan from NA. Ping isn’t great though.
You just hv to access Japan server though VPN, Once You’ve get into game client. You can simply disconnect than you will be fine
i made an account from the league website and logged in on client and played. no clue what any of the text is and ping was stupidly high 300 ish so i gave up the idea of playing there lol

Odd. Then your only option is probably a vpn unless you’d just settle for playing on a chinese server which is probably where many Japanese players are anyways since the Japanese server is new and not very popular. Though, you sadly won’t be able to play with friends. Gomen’nasai.

I couldn’t personally advise you on that as I’ve never had any reason to use a vpn. Hopefully someone can answer that.

using a vpn to play a game is likely to cause you very high ping levels, it might be easier to look for japanese speaking groups on your local servers.
what is the maximum playable ping for this game?
This depends on VPN location and service quality mostly. I’m using a paid proxy which is in the same city I live and not only it works, it works splendidly. Only increases my ping by 2 and it is very stable. As long as the proxy is located either where you live or where the server is there should be no problems.
People play on 150 which I would say is definitely the maximum. I would personally be uncomfortable with anything above 60 though
It depends on a champion a lot. I played on both high and low ping - playing Azir, Viktor and many other mechanically demanding and skillshot reliant champions is very hard with 100+ ping. But playing something without skillshots like Singed or Pantheon - you’ll be just fine and even 150 ping won’t affect you that much. Of course, having lower ping is a huge help for dodging skillshots.
Anything above 150 is just unplayable tbh
it really depends on ur normal connection for example ppl from example middle east normally get 150-200 ping to them thats playable but from europe u normally get 20-80 ping so its unplayablle on 150-200 but really anything above 200 is just too hard to play
actually, I play with 250ms from Asia to NA (yes I know) and I don’t have any kind of lag, I also have a friend who plays with 330ms that doesn’t affect him either. It’s really just how good the connection is. if your ISP can manage to deliver the packets without losing any, and you’re adjustable to that ping it should be alright
