Hi, does anyone know why my IP changes several times within an
hour even when I don´t disconnect from ExpressVPN (Lightway protocol).
With my other VPN the assigned IP stays the same till I disconnect and
connect again, but with Express it changes several times within an hour
even without any interruptions of the connection. Can someone reproduce
or explain this behaviour?

I have the same problem
I noticed the same thing and asked support about and received the following explanation:
As I checked deeper, it seems that our web
request service uses multiple outbound IP
addresses to process request volume and
provide better privacy. As a consequence,
what you’ll be seeing - requests from the
same site (e.g. whatismyip) might not come
all come from the same IP address.
Therefore, you’re experiencing an
expected behavior.
This is also consistent with what I’m seeing. The IP changes every 8 to 10 minutes and is always in the same IP block. When you go to ipleak.net and look at the DNS addresses it detects, you can get a better idea of what the pool of IP addresses of your current VPN location looks like.
Is there a way to disable this functionality? It messes up functionality for one of my apps

You could ask support about it, but I doubt they can change that behaviour for individual users. It may be easier to fix or report the functionality issue of the app that misbehaves.
