Is CDkeys still works after the new patch?

I heard some people said microsoft patched that we no longer can used Any cheap Region including using VPN too, Even in CDkeys Especially gamepass ultimate not really expensive as in Console but does CDkeys still works? Any suggests to get/buy on other cheap region?
I’m starting have no idea what to do and where to buy Gamepass ultimate because on console the price too expensive…
If CDkeys no longer works then i am screwed…

Cdkeys is separate from Microsoft. Can still buy cheap keys there

I successfully bought an Argentina XBOX code off Eneba last night and redeemed using VPN.

Lots of keyshops sell worldwide keys at a cheaper price than the local ones. So it should work to a degree, but probably don’t count on Argentina or Turkey keys.

I don’t know about CDKeys, but I bought from eneba yesterday and it works.

If you’re asking whether CDKeys still works, then the answer is yes (bought Black Ops 6 from there a week ago, input code to Xbox, pre-order / game confirmed).

If you’re asking whether you can buy out of region games on CDKeys for a cheaper price and use them in your region then they probably won’t work. Microsoft updated its TOS recently and there have been numerous reports of peoples accounts getting banned for this reason.

CDKeys clearly lists what region its games are for on the listings.

Argentina, Brazil, & sometimes Russia have the cheapest. Use a VPN & boom your good.

You’ll only have a problem with CDKeys if you buy a code from a region other than the region that you are from.

Could I ask which VPN you used, please? I’m getting region errors trying to redeem a US code using Express VPN.

  1. The TOS update had nothing to do with regional purchases. Those sections were already in the TOS and Xbox Code of Conduct
  2. I have seen no evidence on reddit of people being banned, only that people are now being blocked from purchasing from Argentina, Turkey, and Brazil xbox stores if you don’t live in those regions. If people were being banned for this we would be flooded with posts on reddit of people accounts being suspended.

I think they didn’t change their TOS. You can still use codes in Argentina, Turkey and Brazil but since April 2024 resellers, and users, can no longer aquire codes through the “Buy as a gift” button.
With time, cards on Eneba or CDKeys will desappear.

I’m not getting any joy with that one either. Is there any other tips you’d suggest? I’ve tried incognito mode and deleting cookies etc.

You may want to make sure you are not connecting to Microsoft until you connect VPN.
