From what I have been able to find Proton VPN is the best fit for me however, I have noticed a lot of people say it’s almost necessary to pay for the subscription. If I were to use the free version instead of the paid one how much am I compromising myself? Like, do I just lose some internet speed or does it become essentially useless? (I don’t plan on torrenting with this VPN however, I would like to know if I could/should).
