Or should I go just for a cheaper VPN if I use it for unlocking geoblocked websites mostly? They have a pretty decent promo right now, but I guess they have promos constantly and it’s not a big deal?

As far as I’m concerned, the only feature missing from NordVPN is IPv6 support.

I used it a year ago. Nord in general was very good to use. The 7 day trial + 59$ was decent to use it as essential product for privacy needs.
Near the end of year subscription, my country started to block Wireguard and affected the log in page on Nord, which makes me relying to use another vpn to open Nord’s log in page. I am not the only one complaining, my whole family and friends have the same issue.
My country really, really hates Nord.
It’s solid, fast and it has out of the box mesh support. It is!

For ease yes, for security no. All you do is route your traffic through their exit nodes. They know all your traffic.
Been a customer for 4 years and am content with it, spam call/ emails have decreased noticeably and I feel safer browsing the web, also for $80 every 2 years it’s not a bad deal
Serious question… But do anyone use it to get products cheaper? Like getting YouTube premium for a 8th of the normal cost if it looks as if you are in Philippines or ukraine /Argentina.

Yes, it is…I need to get paid so I can resubscribe because there’s definitely a difference in essentially anything you try doing. Cheaper vpns do not work nearly as well so it’s definitely worth it
I use Bitdefender Premium VPN, it’s cheaper by the month and I can pay monthly. But Nord VPN isn’t that bad the few years that I used it. You definitely got to use a VPN these days.
If you need to use/expose specific ports it’s a no go and the connections are dedicated
On linux there’s no split tunnelling if you need to do that also
Other than that if it’s just general usage - it’s great, and cost effective!
I’ve used it for at least 3 years and was very pleased with it till a couple of months ago. Now it’s constantly crashing and interferes with all devices on my WiFi. Have tried everything to fix it but I’m ready to give up. Exploring other options now.
