Is P2P VPN safe for normal browsing?

I am trying to understand what a P2P on a VPN means. I want to browse normally on the Internet and not torrent. Would it be safe to type in my password and email addresses, could someone who is connected to the same server as me find out what my email address and password is if I was to type it without HPPTS? I would never type in my password without the HPPTS symbol but curious if it was possible if someone who is on the same P2P server as me would be able to see it.

Yes it’s safe. P2P server just means you’re allowed to make P2P connections if you like. You can use it as a normal server as well

p2p is just the servers that the want you to use for using torrents or other p2p technologies.

I pretty much always have mine in P2P mode. I have a small bash script that automagically connects me to the fastest P2P server on login.

The p2p option is slower than the fastest protonvpn connection.

It’s always going to because that’s the servers people are using to download large amounts of files all at once bottlenecking those servers. That’s why if your not using p2p applications like torrents it’s better to use other servers

I thought downloading torrents is mint to be fast not slow. I don’t know of a single person who want’s to use a bogged down service when torrenting.

that is generally true, but you might find that using a dedicated P2P server is faster than using others, as they would have been configured for P2P connections, but the normal servers wouldn’t have been.
