Is there a way to change DDG's search engine on Android?

I’ve been searching for a different android browser, other than Chrome or Opera for a while now. Tried a lot of them but DDG is the only good one. It’s perfect in almost any way.
The one thing I have an issue with is the Search. The results are really bad, to a point I’m now using DDG for all but searching stuff online. But since 90% of what I do when I use my browser on the smartphone is searching it’s becoming annoying fast.

I get that Google search engine has privacy issues, but is there anyway to use it as my search engine? I don’t care too much about privacy, and DDG is by far the best overall browser I’ve tried. It’s faster, lighter, uses less resources, and has everything I’m looking for. But as it is, if I can’t use other search engine I’ll probably get annoyed fast and will go back to opera.

If using Google in DDG browser is really what you want, there are a few ways to achieve this. You could visit google.com and choose ‘Add to Home Screen’. Or save it as a bookmark. Or, as already suggested, simply use the !g bang in DDG. Or add the default Android Google widget to your screen. If you have DDG as your default browser, even Google will probably honour that choice and open links in DDG.

Edit: never mind that last option, it does not seem to work that way. Google does not play along.
