I was previously using FortiClient 6.2 on my Mac running Big Sur. Kept receiving error messages that it wouldn’t connect, so I deleted/uninstalled the app. I downloaded the FortiClient 7 VPN installer, but every time I run the installer, I receive an “internal error” message. I can’t find a download for FortiClient 6.4 anywhere either. My office uses SSL VPN.

I am getting the same error. Has anyone found a fix for this? I want to start testing 7.0.
We’re seeing the same issue with the Fortinet VPN-Only v7 Client updater downloaded from here. We have a Fortinet support contract and so will be opening an incident with them to see if we an get it resolved, and I’ll update here as we get more info.
The “online installer” still seems to bugged as of this writing (even after our complaints to Fortinet Support), but after much grinding and gnashing of teeth, we managed to get the full macOS installer from them, for v7.0.1.60, which works fine for me on Big Sur (11.5.2). If anyone needs it but doesn’t have access to Fortinet Support to get it themselves (or doesn’t care to bang their heads on that particular brick wall), PM me.
Having the same issue!! The download clearly has a bug their end, but I am experiencing it for the main client and the VPN only MAC versions. Unbelievably annoying as I thought it was a fault my end and have spent 1-2 hrs diabling firewalls etc trying to allow the download past 0.2kb!!
UPDATE: Still getting the issue, but I’ve got hold of a copy of the VPN ONLY installer, so message me if you want me to send it
There’s a new version of the FortiClient 7.2 that resolves a priv escalation vulnerability, so everyone should update to it. Reddit banned me for 3 days for sending the links to those that had requested it from me previously, and then denied my appeal, so no more sending by chat!

Hopefully the dorks at Fortinet will fix their updater one of these years, so that this becomes unnecessary. It’s insane that they can’t seem to get that fixed.
No idea. I’ve tried downloading 7.0 multiple times and it doesn’t work. Since my company only uses the free VPN, I don’t have the option of reaching out to their customer support.

I found out our firm pays for Fortigate, so our IT guy sent me the dmg installer for 6.0 and now I have no issues. I’m still not sure if 7.0 works with Big Sur.
