I hope they are actively working on fixing it, because my wife has had to turn off the VPN in order to watch YouTube. Unfortunately, the ads are driving me up the wall!
We use Luna VPN on iOS, and the YouTube official app. As far as I am aware, on desktop Firefox and uBlock Origin are still working.
My luna hasn’t been working ever since Youtube cracked down on adblocking this month. It hasn’t been working for me for like 3 weeks now it sucks.

It must be tough in the world of iOS 
(I used to own an iPhone years ago, transitioned to android years back).
The way apple controls iOS in terms of apps is crazy there.
Yeah it stopped for me too, presently using Brave browser as a backup, hopefully they’ll fix it soon.

Last night I had to watch YouTube on the Brave Browser - but the mobile web page is a diminished experience compared to the app. It was still better than having to endure ads though!
Hmm, interesting. I was working for me just fine until this afternoon. I wonder how the changes are being rolled out. Anyway, I hope that Luna is now actively working on this.

Can’t we just connect to a VPN to sideload apps when sideloading becomes available in the EU?
Until Apple actually releases the feature in Europe, we won’t know. But I don’t think it’ll be THAT easy
