Hey I haven’t been able to find the VPN on my android device, and genuinely don’t know why not. I’ve checked the best I can to be up to date on the version, and even in private mode it doesn’t show up. Any ideas?
And as for private mode I see:
A ghost with a little mask on, the search bar, text that reads “Private mode Opera GX won’t save the browsing history of your tabs in private mode.”, a Leave Private Mode button, and the normal 3 icons at the bottom. Checking settings shows the same list as non private mode

I had the same issue but turns out OPERA has a vpn in its mobile app and OPERA GX does NOT.
I thought I was going crazy reading articles talking about the vpn and how you just turn it on in settings but I couldn’t find it… turns out its because Opera GX doesn’t have it but normal Opera mobile does!
There is no vpn on mobile I’m afraid. There is on regular opera tho.

Yeah MANY search results come up stating boldly that opera GX mobile has vpn services. The internet is such a scam anymore lol.
Maybe its that typical issue of “journalists” being forced to do quantity over quality so they try to shit out as much articles as possible and someone saw “Opera” has a vpn on mobile and accidentally wrote an article saying “Opera GX” has it. I thought I was being gaslight by the internet and then just realised the internet is mostly idiots and AI articles so that’s probably why
Opera GX’s website even says they have it and you can pay for a premium >.>
