I have a Windows 10 current build (24-Oct-2020) running Mullvad from India. Trying to connect to any outside Server (US/UK), but getting a connection blocked message (see below screenshot).
When I install it, it works, but once I quit the app and restart it, it doesn’t. If I uninstall and reinstall it works until I exit the program.
Having tried multiple issues, I find the same issue - Mullvad connects the first few times it is installed, but if I restart the PC, then I get the same error.
The log shows the below message at the point of failure:
Error trying to connect: tcp connect error: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions
There is a Hypervisor installed on my Windows 10 machine - so the network connections screen shows a network bridge.
I am seeing this as well, On both my Linux (Manjaro) and Windows 10 PC. I have to reinstall on windows to fix it. It fixes itself on Linux if I restart the app a few times and tinker with the “Always require VPN” setting.
Something to note as well: I use OpenVPN to connect on both workstations as they Only allow 5 Different systems keys for wireguard. ( My family members also use the VPN and we hit the 5 key limit for Mullvad and it’s a pain to have to remove say one of my keys (tablets, phones etx) so my phone can use the vpn)
