Netflix with Windscribe VPN problems using Turkey as the country

This issue happened to me just yesterday but I need to use Windscribe and one of the two Turkey servers in order to access my Netflix Turkey account that was just opened. There is a 30 day geo-lock to Turkey only when accounts are just opened or reactivated. Now I am getting errors that Netflix has detected I am using a “proxy” and the show I was watching stops. Any tricks/tips to get around this or just have to wait for Windscribe to change IP addresses for the two Turkey servers?

thats normal on login and for most vpn that way.

Disable vpn , log in , then reenable VPN with turkey ip should work.

You do have different way to get Netflix at Turkish prices if you do use iPhone

Yes, but you said you used a smart TV and the windscribe app…I only know of a way using an android phone. If you want a way to bypass this, this is what I do with my Samsung

First, go to your phone and then settings…and location, then location services. Turn everything off… especially location accuracy and wifi and Bluetooth scanning. You will also go to your permission settings and make sure Google maps is not doing precise location (I usually make sure to just clear ALL data in the app, but I don’t care about or save any data in my maps settings, so don’t clear all data unless you want a freshly new maps app… everything will be gone until you sign in). In fact, I’d disable any apps that aren’t necessary for location.

Now, kill your mobile connection by turning on airplane mode and connect via wifi only.

Now open up the Windscribe app and go to connection and then GPS spoofing. Follow the instructions there. Click 7 times or whatever on the software build to open up developer options. Find the mock location app settings…click on it and obviously select Windscribe. Make sure Windscribe gives you the all clear that it worked.

Now to test if your location is truly being detected in Turkey …reopen your Google maps and DO NOT let it have “precise location” or else this turns on your location services and you’ll have to go back to my 2nd paragraph and restart all over again. If you did everything correctly Google maps will show you in Turkey where their servers are. And thus, no proxy will be detected and Netflix should work.

It used to be easier than this, but it works for me on a Samsung. Best of luck.

And now suddenly it has fixed itself. Yesterday I was able to watch a few shows without the proxy/vpn warning showing up with Netflix. Did Windscribe read my post and make adjustments to the servers I was using? Are they always making adjustments behind the scenes anyways to help with this Netflix problem?

It is already logged in Netflix. This is on my smart TV with the Windscribe app running. Can watch about five minutes of a show and then a pop up comes up, and the steaming stops. I choose the second turkey server and again I can watch anout five minutes of a show and then the pop up comes back again.

Apple Turkish account allow to top up App Store with gift cards, a few decent shops on internet sell Apple Turkish gift cards so you be able to use this account just for setup Netflix subscription and topup with gift cards - works without issues, my YouTube and Apple 2TB account cost me almost 6 times cheaper than in UK

Making the Turkish account was not a problem with Turkish Netflix gift cards. Geo-lock for 30 days to Turkey and Netflix detecting use of Windscribe VPN is the problem. What is your solution for that?
