NordVPN 400 error "we couldn't process your request"

Cropped up this morning. Worked fine yesterday, works on my Windows 10 laptop. Without VPN can access YouTube, etc. Changed password, successfully logged into NordVPN again. Tried uninstalling NordVPN, Chrome, deleting cookies, etc. Still nothing. Multiple tech support 5x no help. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem today. The way I got it working again was re-downloading it, restarting my computer, and then relaunching NordVPN. Didn’t let me log in, but after a minute it said it wanted to do an update and I allowed it to do so. After I updated it I was able to log in again.

I’m guessing all it really needed was the update, but I couldn’t get the prompt to appear before.

I can login to the dashboard, to see account status, etc. And I deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times. Whatever they did, it no longer works with Win 7.

I was able to take another laptop that has Win 10, install NordVPN and it worked fine.

I just checked the other laptop with win 7, still does not work.

I did use a previous version, and that didn’t work, either. I believe you are correct that they have moved on from supporting the Win 7 version.

I’ll give OpenVpn a try.

Whatever they did, it no longer works with Win 7.

Afaik, nothing has changed, and Nord still supports Win 7 (https://support.nordvpn.com/hc/en-us/articles/20226455946257-What-operating-system-versions-does-NordVPN-support). In case you’re still unable to use it, reach out to their customer support via live chat: support.nordvpn.com.

I talked to 5 tech support this morning and each one wasn’t much help. They escalated it and said it might take up to 3 days.

After messing with it a bit, OpenVPN says they will no longer support Win 7 after the next update, I decided to bite the bullet and update to Win 10.
