My internet security and streaming needs have me torn between NordVPN and PIA. Both appear solid, but I’m undecided. I know NordVPN is popular for its speed and security. However, PIA has a loyal user base and strict privacy standards. Has anyone tried both and can comment? I need something trustworthy that doesn’t slow my internet, especially when streaming or gaming. How are they customer service and usability?
When I used PIA, they had a lot of dirty IPs, so I wouldn’t recommend them. There are a lot of annoying captcha pop-ups, and the network isn’t very good.
I’ve been using Nord’s VPN service for more than a year, and I can say that it’s at best average to bad. It’s very slow, goes out often, and has a lot of dropouts where your service goes from 900Mbps to less than 50Mbps. After Nord gets you to sign up, you’ll see for yourself how bad the service is. You’re stuck though by then. And when I look at the hugely inflated monthly prices along with the constant coupons and discounts, it makes me worry about Nord’s business plan.
