Not working on iOS

I have a paid visionary account. I have used protonvpn a few times in the past on my iPhone. Today when I connect it shows I am connected, but I can’t connect to any websites.

I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling and that did not work.

Any ideas?

Yikes guess the VPN community wasn’t ready for TikTok going down. Nordvpn is showing down too

Was working fine for me earlier today, but now it’s not working for me either. Likely farfetched, but could be due to TikTok going offline a little while ago and protons overloaded atm?

Can confirm it is working on android and windows. Doesn’t work on ios for me either.

I will say this. Proton is not working on IOS, but I can confirm it’s working on Windows. Either way, confirming not working on IOS.

The TikTok ban just hit in the US a few minutes ago. Downdetector is saying tons of reported issues with ProtonVPN. Willing to bet a lot of VPNs will be overloaded tonight.

Same. Think it’s people using it to get around tiktok ban…which is what I was gonna do lol

All of sudden working now, but not for tik tok. Was testing if it would work or not.

I’m guessing some sort of DNS issue(s)…. It doesn’t matter what country I connect to … while the app says connected, no DNS addresses resolve.

That said, my router Proton tunnels are up and humming along.

I’m experiencing the same thing…it looks connected in the app but nothing will load…

Looks to be, at least for me, isolated to iOS rather than macOS. So mobile affected. Status.proton.me doesn’t show any impact. Their server loads don’t necessarily show overload, that’s subjective though IMO.

Edit: still current, however it seems that multiple if not all major providers are experiencing this; shown in the multiple threads like in /NordVPN, for example.

For the support team: I already sent in my logs and reports for this mobile issue- although it’s probably due to backend spike in load, which based on the situation no one could truly prep for…

VPNs work as long as most people don’t use them I guess

No problems over here in Germany …

Same here. The only device that’s having a problem is my iPhone. TVs, PCs, etc… are all good.

Same problems here. Tried reinstalling too. 1.1.1.1 worked fine.

They disabled US accounts so a VPN won’t work for US accounts.
