Puffin running through NordVPN with USTVGO not thinking it is?

So weird issue.

I use to use expressvpn and with that app, you could open Puffin through the VPN app.

NordVPN is 1/3 the cost ($119/3 years) so I just cancelled expressvpn and using NordVPN.

The issue is that I watch History Channel through USTVGO and today they did the “you must use VPN to view this channel” …

Well, I do use a vpn. Hell, I use NordVPN which is what they suggest.

But Nord runs in the background and I DO NOT have Puffin as a trusted app, so it is running through the VPN (when I click on their link on history channel, it says protected by vpn even though that channel says I’m not).

Anyways, coming back full circle… Is there a way to fix this issue? Like I said, if it’s expressVPN, when you connect, you can choose to open an app through the VPN app but Nord Doesn’t do that. So is there a way to basically make that damn history channel realize that I’m using the exact VPN they suggest? Or is there a different web browser that works with shield that this works with? Chrome doesn’t work because the cursor isn’t there for me to pick the channel and I don’t see a firefox or safari or anything like that on shield.

I use Nord VPN on Shield with Firefox TV as browser. I literally just tested it on history channel and works fine.

My VPN no longer works with USTVGO… This problem started to occur this week. Idk wtf???

Working for me…I’m on Chrome, using Touch VPN, connected to the “Netherlands” and I’m in USA. Had to do a little trial and error from US (nope), UK (nope)…Netherlands (yep!) :slight_smile:

I was having the same issue a couple of nights ago trying to access it on the Silk browser, using Surfshark VPN on a firestick. Got around it by accessing USTVGO through Kodi. Now today it’s back to working fine in the browser.

Do I have to do some sort of something to get firefox? There isn’t an available app on the play store (just like chrome isn’t available either).

I use torguard vpn and had to choose another country for it to work. I think it was Belgium that worked for me.

You need to sideload it as it is not in Playstore.
