Hey guys! I was curious if someone could explain or point me towards a tutorial on how to connect to PIA on an iPhone with MACE enabled. I know PIA can’t put it in their original app because of App Store guidelines but I’m sure there is a way to manually do it. Any kind souls out there that can help?
The PIA MACE option is simply one of PIA’s privately routable DNS server addresses. Normally the PIA app takes care of choosing the MACE DNS server IP behind the scenes if you choose the MACE feature in the app, but since PIA can’t include the MACE option in the App Store distributable, you can set it up yourself in the PIA app using the custom DNS server feature.

Note these are privately routable (local area network) only addresses, and will NOT work unless you are connected to PIA’s VPN. Thus I only recommend setting these up within the PIA app itself, where they will only be used when you are connected to PIA. I do NOT recommend using these DNS addresses to change your DNS settings within the iOS or Android network settings, because then you would effectively lose Internet access whenever you disconnected from PIA.

Thanks for replying but PIA doesn’t make an app with MACE for the iPhone, so sideloading doesn’t help.
Is there a pia mace app for android?
I didn’t know that, their website says otherwise.

Apple is anal retentive about allowing full on adblocking in vpns, but I’m pretty sure there is manual way to connect using openVPN configurations. I just need someone to walk me through it. I’m not a novice but not an expert either.
