Here in Canada they seem to finally be wise to express VPN and I might need to find a new option for Rugby viewing
Has anyone found a work around?
Mods, know this is possibly a not a “rugby question” but I know many on this sub use the express + stan combo. So hopefully you agree it’s relevant

It works. I’ve been using it for years. Can’t get their apps so need to hook the laptop up to watch on TV, but that’s fine frankly.
I actually spoke to someone at Stan Sports a couple of years back who said, and I’m pretty sure this is a quote, “So long as you’re paying for it, we don’t give a fuck” if I’m using a VPN.
EDIT: Wait, I misread the post. Fingers crossed they stay true to that one employee’s word from a few years back!

Yep, been using Stan for years through Express VPN here in Japan and today got the dreaded error E11 message from Stan.

Sadly, ProtonVPN no longer seems to work. Some channels in NZ would check the time/time zone on your device even when you were on a VPN, which I thought might be happening in this case, but it seems that regardless of the server/time zone I’ve set on my phone or chromecast, Stan isn’t letting me watch anything.
Does it? I’m in NZ at the moment and it isn’t.
On a Fold 5 with nord earlier this year worked. But now it isn’t. Even changed my settings to Australia time and still di not work.

Hi. Just joined the sub so can’t post my question and hoping you can answer. Looking to sign up of Stan since it’s month-to-month as my FloRugby annual subscription in the US expires tomorrow. Planning on streaming Stan over SurfShark and connect my phone to my TV (I sideloaded the Stan app on my Android phone). Are you paying using a credit card issued outside of Australia? Wanted know if it will be a problem card issued in the US. Not sure if they’ll be asking for the card address. Thanks

This happened once before and it was fine a few days later 
Nord works for me on both PC and android devices. My device settings are not set to Australia. I use chrome on PC and for androids I had to download the Stan app Apk from a third party website as it can only be downloaded from Google play store if your Google account is set to Australia…
Hey! Yeah, no worries at all! Yeah, I’m paying with a UK card and had no issues. I might have had to put a random Aussie address in, I don’t remember, but my monthly payment came out yesterday and has for months so there’s no issue (Hopefully, anyway!)
Will do. I tried a few things like emptying the cache and also the data, trying different servers within Auz, updating my Express VPN etc.
All without fail.
Hopefully as you said, a few days will do the trick.
