So I got disconnected from the jap version and can t get into the game since then.The game starts up fine but after clicking the “Start game” button it gets stuck on “Now in progress.” its not frozen or anything it just won t go any further.
Is there a maintenance going on?
I already tried changing to different vpn server.Didn t help.
It was their servers, I loged in, and I was dead, then server crashed. Logged again and I wasn’t dead and then it suddenly disconnected after 10min and getting same message again.
I have the same issue, stuck on ‘Now in progress’. Saw a forum post on main page that other players are having issues as well. - I can’t read Japanese, but that is what I gathered from Google translate 
I’ve encountered the same issue as well. If you hit ‘Start Game’ again, it’ll drop back to the Start Menu informing you it Failed to Connect to Server. I’m assuming maintainance or an update perhaps?

Did you guys just keep restarting the game and then it worked?
Made the mistake of quitting game to create a new character and now this is happening to me as well… Game was fine b4 till I exited. Even switched vpn

I just got a weird message talking about 800 ~ 900 when trying to log in i think the server is down for update? I’m on the korean server.
Try to change the VPN to another adress, then try to log in until it works, just change the adress from VPN to log in.
also had this problem earlier. a new vpn server did the job for me.
I stopped the client, and restarted it, and it pushed a small update then reconnected instantly.
whenever i want to pick a channel on any of the two servers to create a character, the game stucks and crashes but the music continues.
Anyone knows what to do ?
You think maybe their servers are just blowing up with too many connections? Game might be more popular in japan than they expected.
Pretty common launch issue in all areas of the world.

I have this same problem just mine freezes the whole game
I changed the VPN and it worked.
hmm… if I hit start game again it does nothing.
