Hey ppl.
I have problems with the VPN connection.
It works with my laptop and router x,
It doesn’t work with my PC and router x.
Not even when the firewall is off, so I would rule that out.
Restart PC, reinstall Cisco - tried everything.
The download link: https://www.fh-zwickau.de/zki/netzdienste/vpn-einwahl/cisco-download/
Maybe a hint: A connection with my RasPi via SSH was also not possible recently.
following some stats from cisco, which i find strange but cannot interpret:
Windows-IP-Konfiguration
Hostname . . . . . . . . . . . . : Scaramouche
Prim„res DNS-Suffix . . . . . . . :
Knotentyp . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid
IP-Routing aktiviert . . . . . . : Nein
WINS-Proxy aktiviert . . . . . . : Nein
DNS-Suffixsuchliste . . . . . . . : fritz.box
why its clear ? so many questions
More context please.
Are you “playing” around with setups localy, or do you try to reach a productive network behind a firewall / router out there?
Is there a difference in the notebook and pc with IP Settings? IPv6 ? Can you reach the SSL-Landingpage of the Firewall/Router (if availible)?
A connection with my RasPi via SSH was also not possible recently.
From the local pc to a local RasPi?
How old is this pc? Up to date? (supports modern ciphers?)
You could install the DART module to see whats happening, or do an SSL/Webvpn debug if you have the headend in your control.
Downloading the VPN-Client from unknown ressources is not the best idea imho and should come from cisco or the hosting router/firewall- but should be ok from this university.
I just had the same problem. On a Windows machine, make sure you do a restart and not a shutdown. The latter did not fix the problem for me, but the former did. Go figure.
